  as i followed this recipe exactly, even omitting the garlic because it was not mentioned in the cooking instructions. the cooking time is way off. it took alot longer to thoroughly cook and lightly brown these potatoes.

I am making my rounds at steakhouses in and around la and mortons by far is the total package. our only complaint was the lyonnaise potatoes because they were super watery and weird. we both have never had such potatoes so maybe they are supposed to be that way but we hated them. the recipe has a sultry spice to it,

- mashed potatoes are creamy and delicious! garlic-flavored, not perfect (as far as i'm concerned, there is only one perfect steak and that's my father's secret recipe passed down over some 50 years). but it was better than most steakhouses i've been to. the only exception being mortons which is by far the finest.
