Mixed source, biography 9005 there is a large monument erected to the four pioneer brothers in the old knoop cemetery just close to the old log house two miles east of troy, ohio. they brought their widowed mother, ann gerber, to ohio in 1798. she died june 1, 1805 and was the first one buried in the knoop cemetery.
